Located just two hours North of Boston, Loon is New England’s most-accessible mountain resort destination, offering 2,100 feet of vertical, and three peaks full of terrain variety, plus many lodging and dining options. Terrain ranges from gentle beginner slopes to long cruisers, steeps and tree skiing, plus a full progression of award-winning terrain parks, halfpipe and superpipe. Offering 370 skiable acres and 60 trails, Loon Mountain has something for everyone.
In the past five years, Loon has invested in adding more terrain, uphill capacity and state-of-the-art snowmaking and grooming technology. Loon continues its commitment to providing a great guest experience in 2011-2012 with the addition of four new trails and 170 of the latest technology Low-E tower snow guns.
Looking for something fun to do off the hill? Loon Mountain offers a variety of off-slope activities. The Adventure Center, located near the Octagon Base Lodge, offers snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, ziplining, and indoor rock climbing. And don’t forget about tubing located at the base of the Little Sister Chairlift.
Have a drink and relax after a day of skiing or riding at Babe’s Blue Ox or the Paul Bunyan Room. Enjoy cold beverages, quick bites and live music throughout the season.
