Lindsey Vonn sub-par in world cup event

The U.S. Ski Team’s Lindsey Vonn finished eighth overall at the Aspen, Co. World Cup Slalom event. The three-time overall World Cup champion finished the event with a combined overall time of 1:47.63, just 1.44 seconds behind first place winner Maria Pietilae-Holmner of Sweden. Vonn fought to grab eighth place after she failed to finish her first run on Saturday when she lost control and skied off course. Teammate Resi Stiegler of Jackson Hole, Wy. Finished 25^th overall with a combined time of 1:50.67.
